Gaby was 6 years old when she came to the US from Honduras with her single mother. Her mom is still her greatest inspiration, having worked so hard to make ends meet and help her daughter succeed. Gaby’s path to tech was not a straight one, learning computer programming long after college through a combination of self-teaching and coding boot camps: “I was also lucky to ?nd mentors who saw my potential and encouraged me.”

Today, Gaby is a software engineer at DoorDash, where she is a lead engineer on the team that designs the web interface for merchants. Gaby is committed to empowering women and minorities in tech to help ensure they secure equitable pay. In addition to providing one-on-one coaching, she teaches salary negotiation workshops at regional boot camps.
